I used to have a collection of red lipsticks ranging from drugstore brands to MAC and Chanel, and everything in between. These days I'm happy if I can get out the door with a swipe of Burt's Bees lip balm.(Photo via The Sartorialist)

Someone told me one day that a good lipstick color for people is the color just inside your mouth past your lips....Mine's kinda of a rose so I try to use that color if I remember. hehe.
I use benetint with a gloss over coat.
I like to keep it simple and easy.

I've just gotten into nude colors, so I'm using Mac's honeylove right now. :) Never have had the courage to try red.
for every day use, i love peach colors with a hint of gold in them. against my red hair it makes my skin glow.
Red lipstick just doesn't suit me, I am more of a pale lip gloss kinda gal.
I do brown shades, Clinique have a nice range
I'm a sheer peachy or pinky lipgloss kinda girl, myself :)
Normally I just wear lip balm, but when I want something more the lipstick I use is YSL Fard a Levres Rouge Pur No. 143 Blazing Red. It's very sexy and not at all subtle, but works well with my Snow White-ish complexion.

my lips are too big for lipstick (think crazy looking clown). i'm a carmex girl but if i could pull of bright lipstick, i would in a heartbeat.
Every time I try a red I don't like the way I look in it. So I stick to nude-pink colors. And of course Kiehl's lip balm!
Here's a good suggestion for you...I tried Bobbi Brown's creamy lip color in "soft blush" and it's so light, moisturizing, it's like a little brush of color without the commitment of lip liner, etc. Try it!

I'm usually a lipgloss kinda gal :) I wear some almost-nude lipstick for special occasions, but even then, it's usually just lipgloss!
