I love when dining chairs don't match.

In fact, in my home we have taken this design concept one step further. Not only do our chairs not match, but some are now broken (due to their vintage state) and subsequently have been removed from the dining area for safety reasons. So currently we have two mismatched chairs plus one ottoman which adorn our custom-built dining table. For a party of five no less.
Don't get me wrong. This works too.

Love these photos. I also love it when chairs don't match. There's too many good chairs (or ottomans!) out there to have all the same kind.

I never thought of this! It's a pretty chic idea. A friend of mine is needing to but a dining table but is fretting over the cost of chairs. So expensive! I'll pass along the idea. He could save a bundle by getting mismatched chairs, and be stylish in the process.

I agree! Something quirky, thrown in for interest makes such a beautiful and unique dining space. My dream setting would be antique French chairs (wood of course) and one magnificent ghost chair or tall backed chair :) Great post!

Thank you for your wonderful comment - I was happy to come across your fun and inspirational blog as well~
