Absolutely Not Martha moves to Los Angeles!

It's been quite the adventure thus far--moving a family of five from a small college town in New England to the second largest city in the United States. (This may explain my lack of posting these last few weeks.) One of the best things to occur in preparing for the move was getting rid of STUFF. My mantra to husband and kids had become: We're keeping only what we use or find beautiful. Countless trips to The Salvation Army, Goodwill and the dump/recycling center felt really good.

Posting may be a little spotty during the next couple of weeks. But I should get into my new groove very soon.

I'm always so happy to see your updates pop up on my screen. Love the mantra dear, the best part of moving IS cleaning and re-organizing. Congratulations and I look forward to all your posts about the new big location!

I've been enjoying your blog for awhile now. Love your posts. Good luck with the move. I recently moved to LA from SF in April, not as big a move as yours but still transitioning! Looking forward to future posts!

I am contemplating a move sometime soon from California to back East - New York / Washington D.C. area. Though nothing is finalized yet, I have been getting rid of everything - it feels divine to bring stuff to the Salvation Army!

I completely commend you for being able to not only get rid of stuff for a family of five; but actually survive a move with that many people! :)
